On Sunday, August 29th, Kosovo registered 36 victims, which is the highest number of victims registered in one day since the pandemic's appearance in March 2020.
This minister said some of the victims had other accompanying diseases.
“Mby 90 percent of registered victims have unfortunately been unexplored”, the Free Europe Radio Fair Hoti from the Health Ministry's Media Office told Radio.
Pfizer vaccines/ are administered in Kosovo B ONTech and AstraZeneca, which are given through two doses.
According to health experts, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after taking the second dose of the vaccine.
The Delta Option, which is the most contagious version of the virus, has become a dominant variant in Kosovo.
According to a study published in The New England Journal of Medicine, vaccinated individuals are not entirely immune to coronary infection, but even if infected, they are likely to experience mild symptoms or no symptoms.
The U.S. Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) says that some data shows that unexplored persons, variant Delta can cause more serious diseases than preliminary variants.
In two separate studies, in Canada and Scotland, patients infected with the Delta version were more likely to end up lying in the hospital than patients with the Alfa version, or initial COVID-19. Meanwhile, the vast majority of people who were hospitalised and people who died from COVID-19 were unexplored.
However, according to the CDC, people who are fully vaccinated, and infected with the Delta version, can spread it to others for a shorter time.
Meanwhile, Pristina Infectious Clinic Director Arben Vishaj's duty earlier in August has told Radio Free Europe that the vaccinated persons, but that they are infected with coronarys, have easier clinical mirrors.
“Vaxing has a tremendous effect on the flow of the disease. Although the vaccine is not 100 percent to protect you from infection, it seems that it is high enough to protect you from developing a heavy form and not finish the patients with death”, Visaj said.
The Health Ministry announced Sunday that the victims were of different age groups.
Eleven victims were members of the 60-69-year-old group, eight were of the 80-year-old age group, nine in that 70-79, three victims of the 50-59 age age group, and 30-39, one victim belonged to the 40-49 age age group, and one victim was a 20-29 age group victim.
According to the data, from March 13th 2020 until August 29, 2021, Kosovo has recorded 142,671 cases of coronary and 2,457 victims.
Government authorities have described the situation as serious with pandemic in Kosovo and on August 28th, the Kosovo Government announced new measures against pandemic.
Meanwhile, in terms of the vaccine campaign, the MSH announced that 11,458 doses were administered in one day.
In total, Kosovo has administered 808.078 doses, where 269.312 people have been vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine.
