Memli Krasniqi for poisonings in Decani: The government was negligent. We need urgent mobilization.

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has reacted strongly to the neglect shown by the Kurti Government after poisoning about 1,000 citizens in the Decani municipality.

He has said quick measures must be taken to preserve the health of damaged citizens, among other things by providing medicine, additional health staff, as well as safe drinking water.

PDK leader Memli Krasniqi's full statement:

I'm worried about the serious situation the citizens of Decani are going through.

The poisoning of citizens of this municipality is not only a matter of public health, but also a matter of national security and requires complete mobilization of all levels of governance.

I'm also concerned about the neglect of the central government, which is very late on handling the situation at a time when it should be fully close to the citizens of this municipality.

Soon measures must be taken to maintain the health of damaged citizens, among other things by providing medicine, additional health staff, as well as safe drinking water.

Also, all necessary assistance to local institutions and security should be provided to all residents of Decani, leaving no room for panic.

I invite institutions responsible to investigate the case and come up with clear conclusions as soon as possible!
