“Today, Kosovo marks Freedom Day. Twenty-two years ago, NATO, with its campaign of shelling against Serbian forces, marked the beginning of the end of the current war in Kosovo.

We can never forget the hard work NATO has done with all its contingents in Kosovo even at the time of the 78 days and nights that ended the genocide of massacres against Kosovo Albanians and defeated the return of hundreds of thousands of refugees to their homes.

The most powerful military alliance in the world came to the defense of the values of peace and democracy.

Today, we express deep gratitude for the North Atlantic Alliance and the international community that were brought to the defense of the righteous war of our people for Freedom, Independence, and Democracy.
