Miu Magawa, who has been praised with gold medals for bravery, is currently officially retired from his job as mine detectors.
In five years of career, he has found a total of 71 mines and hundreds of unbroken ammunition in Cambodia.
His grower Malen told of “BBC” that Magawa has slowed down at work since he was old and has to leave.

The 7-year-old, trained by a Belgian charity organisation, with its scent cleared more than 141,000 square metres of land from mines.
But now the Magawa rodent will stay in Tanzania for a short while, as he will be in service of new mice trained to find ammunition in Cambodia.
His performance has been fantastic and I'm proud I've worked with him. He's small but has saved lives by turning the land clean to them”, is expressed by Magawa grower.
