Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu reports that Kosovo has extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina a person suspected of serious murder that occurred last year in Sarajevo.
Haxhi writes:
He was extradited today from Kosovo to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the person suspected of committing a serious murder that had occurred last year in Sarajevo. The person had fled from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kosovo while being arrested here thanks to co-operation between the Kosovo Police and Bosnia and Herzegovina Police.
The case represents a success of international judicial co-operation between Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of political circumstances. Also, this case is an indication that through powerful mechanisms of international judicial co-operation in criminal matters, individuals and criminal groups cannot see Kosovo as a place to flee from justice, nor a place to develop their criminal activity.
