Izetbegovic-Vuchichi: Kosovo, Republika Srpska cannot be compared, committed genocide in Kosovo

Bosnia and Herzegovina's main Bosniak Party, Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegovic, has reacted to statements by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, who had drawn a parallel between Kosovo and the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Izetbegovic has confirmed that Kosovo's independence has no similarities with Republika Srpska's status, as President Vuciq stated in the Serbian Parliament.
Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia's federation until Republika Srpska is only an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina”, Izetbegovic said ahead of the SDA Main Board session, which is being held in Sarajevo, the Index.hr reported.
Izetbegovic reacted to Vuciqi's statement, which -- presenting a report on negotiations with Kosovo in the Serbian Parliament -- said officials from Republika Srpska are asking why one rule applies to Kosovo and another to Republika Srpska. He said Albanians in Kosovo have the right to self-determination, and Serbs in Republika Srpska do not.
Izetbegovic further clarified that Vuciqi's statement essentially denies that genocide and ethnic cleansing occurred in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.
The same bad “happened in Kosovo. There are many mass graves in Kosovo, there are some in the vicinity of Belgrade. There were concentration camps in Republika Srpska, and that is why they have no moral, human and legal grounds to talk about partitioning”, Izetbegovic stressed.
Otherwise, Bosnia and Herzegovina has still not recognised Kosovo's independence, as it is blocking the Serb member of the tripartite presidency of the Bosnian state, Milorad Dodik.
