Drinking coffee can reduce the risk of tumors in the digestive tract and the liver, according to research published in the scientific magazine” Food Research International” and implemented by the São Paulo State University in Brazil and the University of Granada. This study highlighted positive factors involved in a cup of coffee that accompany forms of tumors affecting the liver, esophagus, and stomach.
According to Brazilian and Spanish researchers, there are several molecules in coffee (such as alkalide caffeine and trigoneline, polyphenolic ester, chlorogenic acid), which are among the most important bioactival compounds and are directly involved in the main characteristics of cancer development.
For scientists, this study may be useful in proving how to combat metastases and the most aggressive tumor acids that resist conventional therapies such as radio and chemotherapy.
