The plane crashes on a house in Mississippi, four dead.

Four people died when a small-sized plane crashed over a residential house in Mississippi.

The event occurred in late hours Tuesday in Hattiesburg, about 140km southeast of Jackson.

Initially, police reported two deaths, but on Wednesday morning the number of victims rose to four.

However, the authorities have not yet identified the lifeless bodies, and it has not been known whether the dead were in the fallen house or on the plane.

The cause of the self-accident is continuing to be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
