Montenegro's prime minister with emergency flying towards Belgrade

He is expected to be a guest at the Serbian Orthodox Church Assembly.

Montenegro's Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapiić arrived in Belgrade tonight in order to deliver two key messages on behalf of the people of Montenegro, as told by his cabinet for Tanjug.

Krivokapic's cabinet confirmed to Tanjug that it came to convey the will of the people of Montenegro so that Bishop Yoanikije of Budva-Nicsic is elected Montenegro's Metropolitan-Primorje and that the Constitutional Agreement between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state of Montenegro is signed in October 30th, the day of the death of the Amfilohije Metropolitan. .
The main theme of the conversation with Serbian Patriarch Porfir and the bishops will be the Constitutional Agreement that the Serbian Orthodox Church must sign with the state of Montenegro and has to do with shrines and monasteries.

We should remember that because of the controversial Law on Freedom of Religion in Montenegro, liturgies were held in several cities last year and people protested for months demanding that the law be changed.

After the change of government, that law was changed in line with the protests that were first voiced by the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro, as well as believers.
