Early in November last year, four former KLA political and military leaders -- former President Hashim Thaci, former leaders Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi -- were arrested and sent to The Hague, as well as former interim government minister Rexhep Selimi.

The arrests came after a Special Court preliminary procedure judge had confirmed the charges against four former KLA leaders. They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
