An Egyptian delegation that met with Israeli officials to mediate a ceasefire negotiations, but unable to achieve any positive results, an Egyptian security source stated.
”Israel has rejected all mediation initiatives to reach a ceasefire, even temporary, by force at the Gaza Strip”, the source added, the ATSA reports.
According to the source, Israel aims to destroy the military capacity of Hamas and other factions in Gaza and target Hamas' senior officials before returning to the ceasefire negotiations.
Egyptian mediators have visited Gaza and Tel Aviv in the last two days to negotiate a ceasefire between the Gaza Strip, led by Hamas and Israel, after dozens died in the recent outbreak of violence, mostly in Gaza.
