In early May of this year, Serba people climbed to the top of Everest for the 25th time, but he gave up half the way in a new effort.
I had my 26th attempt and arrived at Camp III, but time deteriorated and had a very bad dream. The gods told me not to go, and since I truly believe in God, I decided to go back”, Rita said, after returning by helicopter to Kathmandu.
The world's highest peak among the local population is known as “Sagarmatu”, which in Tibetan means “Mother Earth”, and the conquest of the highest peak in the world is always associated with religious rites.
Although he did not reveal the details of his dream, Rita confirmed that he will return next year, in order to win the top for the 26th time.
Rita and 11 other Sherpa guides reached the summit on May 7th and fixed the ropes, which allowed hundreds of other climbers to use the ice route to the top.
The 51-year-old climber first climbed Everest in 1994. It's been part of the expedition ever since. It is one of many local guides, expertise, and the skills of which are vital to the safety and success of foreign climbers who come to Nepal each year to conquer peak 848m.
