The former prime minister has called for the full opening of the economy.
“Since the number of infected people in the country has marked significant declines, we demand the immediate removal of alarming measures and the complete opening of the economy, as this government has promised. Every lost day is incompatible”, Haradinaj said.
Government assistance to this sector, except that it has been delayed, has also been insufficient. Meanwhile, the government has continued to punish Gastronomy”, he added.
Haradinaj's complete Facebook writing:
Gastronomia has carried the biggest consequences of the isolation and government measures of pandemic management.
Tonight we joined in gastronoms from around the country, with whom we talked about the challenges they continue to face.
Government aid to the sector, except that it has been delayed, has been insufficient. Meanwhile, the government has continued to punish gastronomial, unconfirmed and panicist measures further.
While the overwhelming majority of gastronomic businesses are small or medium, the lack of state aid can further deepen the rise in unemployment that could lead to the fatal economic downturn.
Government measures under pandemic management require careful analysis, as many of them have caused unnecessary economic consequences.
Since the number of infected people in the country has seen significant declines, we call for the immediate removal of alarming measures and the complete opening of the economy, as this government has promised. Every day lost is incompatible.
Me and the ruling party, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, have always been and will be in full support and support of legitimate demands of gastronomers. We will join them in opposing the injustice being done to this sector by the government's inability to take bold steps in favour of economic recovery.
