Macron aims for the majority of non-toxic businesses, including bars and restaurants, to be fully reopened on June 9th.
The French government has been sharply criticised for the slow start of the vaccine campaign, but has since strongly stepped up efforts in that direction.
France has managed to manage at least 10 million first doses by mid-April, as it now aims at 30 million people getting their first dose by mid-June.
By Thursday, the first 14.9 million doses had been administered, while 6.3 million people have been fully ignored.
