ATK Director General Ilir Murtezaj resumes his work, with which he has held a meeting with the top management, in which the ongoing activities, plans and goals were discussed for this year.
As reported in ATK's announcement, based on Independent Council's decision to supervise the Kosovo Civil Service , which has concluded that the dismissal of director Murtezaj has been illegal, so Republic of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in implementing the KPSHCK decision on May 17th 2021, has taken a decision to immediately return Ilir Murtezaj to the position of the ATK General Director, with all rights and obligations from the work relationship.
During the meeting held with the top management, Principal Murtezaj said that we will continue to work more dedicatedly where we left off. ATK's priorities and goals will have life if each of us works with professionalism and dignity. Also, he said we are witnessing that ATK like any other institution is facing the consequences of the COVID 19 pandemic, but I stress that we are the ones who can retake the processes that have been damaged.
Director Murtezaj at the end of this meeting points out that our country more than ever needs to be empowered, where we will all work together, including institutional and inter-institutional co-operation, our partners, as well as taxpayers.
We remember Murtezaj was dismissed from the post of ATK director in October 2020 by then Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti.
Later in January of this year, the Independent Council for Civil Service approved Ilir Murtezaj's complaint and had obliged Kosovo's prime minister to return it to the helm of this institution.
But three days after returning from the dismissal at the helm of ATK, Ilir Murtezaj was suspended by the Ministry of Finance.
Instead of the Murtezay, the task was named Ekrem Hyseyan.
