Analyst Jusuf Thaci has commented on the arrest of several Kosovo police activists today. Thaci says such actions are unacceptable in cases of security is not being violated.
Activists of the PDK and PSDão were arrested today after several symbolic shares.
From the PDK called for the resignation of Interior Minister Donika Grovalla until the five PSDA members were arrested following a pre-government action aimed at opposing the 11m-euro division of electricity payment for northern Serbs.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in co-operation with the Kosovo Police must end such practices of arresting protesters in all cases when security is not being violated. Leave the protesters comfortable in their holy right to protest!

The arrest of protesters when they pose no danger to anyone is totally unacceptable.
Even the minimum damage to public property caused by symbolic protests is not a solid reason for the arrest of protesters, much less for violent arrest.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in co-operation with the Kosovo Police must end such practices of arresting protesters in all cases when no security is violated.
Leave protesters alone in their holy right to protest!
