Signing the agreement comes after the approval of this project in March of this year within the BZKE.
It is based on the 35m-euro funding deal signed in August 2020, which has covered some of the expenses under the management of pandemic, with a focus on supporting the face-to-face of difficulties for health workers, the purchase of medical equipment, protective materials and the construction of the cold chain.
The amendment agreement is aimed at providing support to the Government of Kosovo in its efforts to offer medical services affected by the COVIED-19 virus, retroactive financing of vaccines for about 50 per cent of the population, and management of pandemics as a whole by the Government of Kosovo.
The EC remains one of the main international partners helping Kosovo meet with the COVID-19 pandemic.
