Xhelil Nezir from Velekinca of Gjilan has witnessed firsthand how Serbian paramilitaries executed the uncle's son, Naser Nezir, grandson Adem Salih, and fellow villager Vebi Milazizim, writes Mediafocus.info. For the online newspaper Mediafocus.info, Jeleli has confessed the horror of the tenth and sixteenth of April 1999.
And we saw him on April 10, 1999, when they killed the Vebi uncle, who didn't allow his home in Veles. Meanwhile, on April 16, in the village of Malisheva, in front of my eyes they killed the uncle's son, Naser and grandson, Adam Salih”, Neziri told Mediafocus.info.
“has been a very serious event for us, as a child. I never forget...”, witnessed by three macabre murders.
Unless he witnessed it, Jelil was forced to cover the two people killed as soon as possible.
After the murder of grandson Adem Salihu and the son of Micer Nezir, who were with me, we were forced to cover with the soil that was found there in the barren field, along with Agim from Maliseva, for a very short time”, relates the horror experienced, Xheli Neziri.
But 22 years after this macabre massacre, justice has not yet stated its word.
The witness of these three murders shows the killers could not identify, but stresses that a Russian has been in the group of Serbian paramilitaries.
During my stay in Macedonia, I was interviewed by Claudia Moser, a human rights worker at Camp Stankovec 2 for all the events that took place and after the war I asked the American KFOR to find the killers, where I interviewed them. I asked the KPC if they had any photos of them or any trace they left, but the killers I couldn't identify. I know that in the group of Serbian paramilitaries there was also a Russian who mistreated us in that case”, Neziri tells Mediafocus.info.
“Faji for this remains with the international community that has not pressured Serbia to find the killers and perpetrators of all the killings in Kosovo, as they know these things and have notes about it. After all these murders, deportations, massacres, village burns, there is an international appointment of genocide for which Serbia must be punished”, Neziri adds.
But a relief for him and the families of the slain came to the 22nd anniversary of this massacre, after being inaugurated plaques in memory of five martyrs.
All family members are pleased with this plaque. I think every year we should commemorate all the fallen in order not to forget the past about what happened.
Meanwhile, the head of Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri, says that the freedom we enjoy today is also due to the blood, sacrifice, and self - defense of these family members who today entered the plaque.
This memorial plaque marks the history of Velenica, the history that family members have experienced. These five martyrs are of different names but also of age. Neither has a 16-year-old child been selected for execution until the 80-year-old was protected by the threshold of the house”, Haziri said.
The head of the Velekinca Village Council, Skender Bajrami, has thanked Chairman Haziri and the municipality of Gjilan for funding this memorial tablet in honour of those killed in the last war.
We thank them very much because by honoring our martyrs, they have first honored themselves and the country”.
Otherwise, Serbian paramilitary forces have executed in April 1999 five Albanians in Velenica: Naser Neri, Ajet Isaac, Vebi Milazizim, Blerim Halili, and Zejrullah Rashiti. /
