The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms (KMDLNJ) has called for investigation into the Igumen of the Decani Monastery, Sava Janjic, under suspicion that the same has committed war crimes during the war in Kosovo.

KMDLNJ estimates that Sava Janjiq should be investigated for his pre- and war role in Kosovo because of civilians detained at the Decani Monastery, where he was the main responsibility.

“Based on witness statements given NKMDLNj in Decan after the end of the war at the Decani Monastery, except that paramilitary and regular Serb forces were deployed, the police and the army there had also been beaten and tortured by kidnapped Albanians. The Decani Monastery had been converted into a military base where weapons were distributed to mobilised Serbs. After this information of KMDLNj, the abbey of this monastery, Sava Janjiq condemns it to O SBE, KMDLNY, O The SBB gives KMDLN two opportunities to overcome this issue -- the first for KMDLNj director Behxhet SHALA -- to ask public forgiveness otac Sava and, second, for KMDLNj to face trial. KMDLNj did not make either the first or the second but insisted that investigations be made about the Decani Monastery and the possible involvement of Sava Janjiqi in violation of the Laws of War and Humanitarian Law. It is positive that even in spite of those developments there was no consequence either for the Decani Monastery or for personnel”, the KMDLNJ response reported.

After 21 years of end of the war, to say that the Decani Monastery is at risk is nosens of its kind so far ago that it had not been endangered even at the time of military action. Sava Janjiq, a clergyman wrapped up in a democratic cloth, while with a completely Serbomatic content and now complains that Albanians and Kosovo institutions are endangering the Decani Monastery, are not implementing international agreements as if neither the decisions of Kosovo courts (The Constitutional Court), while refusing even Kosovo institutions, the state of Kosovo, while court decisions accept them selectively when they adapt to)<1>

According to KMDLNj, the Decani Monastery, not that it is not endangered by Albanians or Kosovo institutions, but also according to Pacos of Ahtisaari and the law in power, enjoys an extraterritorial status, in effect there is independence and full protection so it is misusing this to extend Serbia's influence in Kosovo by putting religion in the service of politics.

Further in response it is said that the “right of exercising religion in K0sovo is regulated with the Law on Freedoms and Religious Rights, and in this direction Kosovo is ahead of many states in the region. In recent years interethnic incidents have dropped greatly, are sporadic cases, so the claims of Sava Janjiqi and Serbia that Serbs in Kosovo are at risk, that the religious objects of the Orthodox Church are being robbed and that religious personnel are being attacked”.

“Abat Sava Jannjiq, an unbeliever of the state and institutions of Kosovo, instead of dealing with religious and spiritual issues, which also has mandated, disseminating false news and being a composer of Serbia's propaganda in Kosovo, is making efforts to hide his past from the war that, according to KMDLNj, made him responsible for violations of human rights banned at the Decani Monastery before and during the recent war in Kosovo. In any rule of law, Sava Janjic would be investigated for his role before and during the war in Kosovo against banned civilians at the Decani Monastery, where he was placed, say key responsibility”.

“Der0 that these allegations are not investigated, Sava Janjiq, denying the state of Kosovo, Decani's Manast will turn into the Embassy of Serbia or Propagande Centre that itself will be ambassador and king. Sava Janjzic has a conscience charged with guilt from the past, so it has placed 100 %s in the service of Serbia's policy, damaging interethnic relations and Serbs, who have integrated or want to integrate into all areas of life in Kosovo”, the KMDLNJ response reported.
