Inspection takes parties to the finisher, sė paid fines for violating anti-Convidial measures in the campaign

Political parties during the election campaign had violated major measures against the COVID-19 pandemic. Without masks and physical distances, each had assembled more than 30 people as permitted at electoral gatherings. And for that, the Pristina municipality's Inspection had pronounced fines for electoral gatherings held in the capital. Crowds [...]

Crowds listening to election campaign promises were seen in every corner of Kosovo during the months of January and February.

Politicians of all parties were present in villages and towns seeking citizens' votes. They even went to the ods of citizens to discuss their troubles.

Thus, they were violating every measure against the coronary in power. But the gatherings of parties held in the capital did not go unpunished.

As he had warned, Pristina's Inspection had pronounced fines on parties that collected citizens in the capital by disrespecting anti-Convid measures, and the penalty for a rally was 2,000 euros.

A total of 20 sentences from Inspection for parties were filed during the campaign.

7 fines were submitted to the Vetevendosje Movement, towards the Democratic League of Kosovo 5 fines, to the Democratic Party of Kosovo 3, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo as well as to the Social Democrat Initiative and the New Kosovo Alliance by a fine.

But not all parties have paid the fines pronounced by the Pristina Community.

Pristina Inspection Director Adonis Tahiri has declared to Gazeta Express that the parties that are indebted to the municipality are LDK, AAK and NISMA.

“LVV had seven fines, PDK 3, AKR 1. These parties paid off. Fines have been from 2000 euros, but according to the Law for Responsibilities if they are paid in two weeks, they are paid only half-x1>, Tahiri has declared.

Meanwhile, the LDK, AAK and NISMA have not paid campaign fines. And for that, they will face the master.

The parties that haven't paid the fines yet are: The LDK, which has five sosh, AAK 3 and NISMA 1. This one they didn't pay was sent to the Legal Office to proceed for completion. As a result, these fines are recorded in full, including additional completion”, the head of the Pristina Inspection has declared.

Thus, the Democratic League of Kosovo owes the Pristina municipality 10,000 euros, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo 6 thousand euros, meanwhile, the Social Democrat NSIMA 2 thousand euros.

And the Pristina municipality had warned since before the launch of the campaign that it would utter fines against all political parties that would violate anti-Convid measures during the election campaign.

On January 10th, the head of the Inspection had written on Facebook that all parties, which would not respect the Law, which they had voted on in the Kosovo Assembly.

“Dano citizens for the failure to wear a mask on the street; local sentences for small distance tables; punishment and blog businesses that stand open after 800; torture citizens on their own hours of police hours organised election gatherings of people (with no masks) as sardina is hypocrisy! While the law and measures are in force, the Pristina Insocation will pronounce fines of 2,000 euros each political subject, for each gathering in Pristina. We will not allow inspectors and police to be challenged in this form by political subjects”, Tahiri wrote.

A day after that warning, the pronunciation of fines had begun for parties that were respecting anti-Condavid measures.

Pronouncing fines against political parties from the Pristina Inspection had continued until 12 February, on the last night when political parties were holding the closing campaign for the February 14th elections.
