Prestreshi has warned that he will initiate investigative procedures.
All those complaints, all those protests, all that pressure was exerted by the gastronomic sector, against the government-set measures to prevent the 1999 incident, which were right in some cases, now the same gastronomics in some Kosovo cities have decided together with the agreement to freeze coffee prices and other products. This form of price raising is prohibited, so before I initiate investigative procedures the Kosovo Competition Authority, as the title of this institution initially calls on the Gastronomous Association to distance them from these behaviors of gastronomics and to call for a halt to their actions. On the contrary, the first door we'll be knocking is the front door of the gastronomous association”, Prestreshi wrote.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo Gastronom Association has distanced from businesses that have increased the price of coffee in several municipalities.
