Volcano Explores in Iceland

A volcano has erupted southwest of Iceland's capital, Reikjavik. Local authorities have made it known that the opening of land occurred at a length of 500-700m in the Fagradalsflake. The last explosion there occurred about 800 years ago. In the last three weeks, more than 50 [...] have registered in Iceland.
In the last three weeks, more than 50,000 earthquakes have been recorded in Iceland. In 2010, the explosion of another volcano in the Eyjafjallajokull suspended air circulation across Europe. In the latter case, however, authorities have indicated that little ash is expected to be released by the volcano, with no consequences for flying aircraft.
Before the eruption of the volcano in the area, there was also a 3.1 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale. / A2 CNN
