The political crisis started about a month ago because of the use of or not of the Russian vaccine against the coronary.
Slovak President Zuzana Capuova appointed Finance Minister Edward Heger as the new prime minister.
Heger is Matovic's colleague at O party LANO and a trusted ally.
The four coalition government parties agreed to participate in the new cabinet, with Heger at the helm.
Matovic, appointed prime minister last year, will receive the finance portfolio.
Matovic has earlier ordered doses of the Russian vaccine against corruption, but coalition partners have rejected such an act, since Sputnik V vaccine has not been approved for use in the European Union. /REL
