Hoxhaj at a press conference today said the Democratic Party of Kosovo supports the process of constitutionalising state institutions, which should provide internal stability, confronting the pandemic and the economic crisis, as well as strengthening Kosovo's international position.
But, their creation, according to Hoxhaj, would not have to jeopardise democracy, polarise society, threaten power sharing, or installing a one-party system where all powers would be controlled by a political party.
Hoxhaj has counted 10 reasons why the PDK does not support Vjosa Osmani's candidacy for president:
1. Vjosa Osmani is not a unifying figure but is extremely divisive.
2. Vjosa Osmani is a party candidate and not a consensus.
3. Vjosa Osmani is biased. He used the President's office for political bargaining.
4. Vjosa Osmani is in the complete dictatorship of Albin Kurti and his interests. The president must be independent.
5. Vjosa Osmani is not institutional but populist. Like U.D. The president has signed a pre-election coalition and made actions in opposition to the law.
6. Vjosa Osmani is politically influential and has served only personal interests.
7. Vjosa Osmani is a blackmail proposal. Instead of a consensual candidate, the majority is threatening a new crisis that is early elections.
8. Vjosa Osmani is guided, not by principles of state interest, but by calculations. He opposed the demarcation with Montenegro, which lost Kosovo visas and voted the same after two years.
