Palmer has said that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia cannot end without compromise, which, according to him, is often misunderstood in Kosovo as the term.
He has said Serbia and Kosovo must co-operate to find a solution that is acceptable to all accepted by the two governments.
The American diplomat has said the aim of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is the full normalisation of relations that for the US would be achieved through mutual recognition.
“ion is full normalisation of relations. For the US this would be achieved through mutual recognition, I think this would be the most solid foundation for stability, peace, prosperity and European perspective. But what we need now is for the parties to sit together, work towards this EU-mediated process, to identify the points of disagreement, to identify the points of reconciliation, and work together on finding the path forward that leads us there, where I think we all agree we want to be, which is the European future for Serbia and Kosovo”, Palmer said in KTV.
Palmer also said he expects the next government, released by the February 14th elections, to be seriously involved in Kosovo dialogue, Serbia.
