Through a communique to the media, The IPKA has suggested that the investigation into this case had been launched long ago after accepting a complaint and information via operational routes with the initial suspicion that a police official was involved in illegal activities.
Later, the investigation has been expanded, including several other police officials as suspects, and has included the secret measures of the investigation in co-ordination with the Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor at the ordinance of the Pre-Procedure Court and with support from Kosovo Police.
“As a result of the investigation today in early morning hours in Pristina, an operation coded with the name “the Yugu” was arrested by what eight police officials have been arrested on suspicion of criminal acts “maltreatment during the exercise of official task”, “specifying the right to exercise the judicial means”, misuse of official position or authority” impact <8> and <x09>
According to the IPKA communiqué, IPK investigators in Pristina have carried out control in three locations in Pristina, where various items have been confiscated in quality of evidence.
The IPK investigators are expected to take other investigative actions regarding this case in continued consultation with the prosecutor responsible in line with IPK legal authorisations and Penal Procedure Code”, the communiqué reported.
Kosovo Police Inspectorate, respectively, has arrested eight police officials in the morning hours at the South Police Station Regional Directorate of Pristina.
The investigation into this case had been launched long ago after receiving a complaint and information via operational routes with the initial suspicion that a police official was involved in illegal activities.
The investigation has been expanded, including several other police officials as suspects, and has included secret investigative measures in co-ordination with the Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor by the Pre-Procedure Judge's order and with support from Kosovo Police as well.
As a result of the investigation today in early morning hours in Pristina, the operation, codenamed under the name “Jugu” by cʹrast, has been arrested by eight police officials on suspicion of criminal acts “mishandled during the exercise of official task”, “specifying the right to exercise judicial means”, misuse of official position or authority<6>, “impact” and “fal> exifififiation of the official document<10>
At the order of the Basic Court in Pristina, IPK investigators have realised control at three locations in Pristina, where various items have been confiscated in quality of evidence.
IPK investigators are expected to take other investigative actions regarding the case in continued consultation with the prosecutor responsible in line with IPK legal authorisations and the Criminal Procedure Code.
