Kosovo health professionals, except one of them, have yet to receive no doses of the vaccine from Albania. This was after the Kosovo Health Ministry had not sent lists with names to the Albanian Government.

Despite the fact that Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, had said on January 1st that he would grant Kosovo an amount of vaccines to vaccinate health staff, then on March 12th, urged Kosovo doctors to go to get the vaccine in Kukes, the Health Ministry, in two days ago has asked the SSKUK, the list of doctors' names to send it to Albania then.

Kosovo University Clinical Hospital Service Director Valbon Krasniqi has announced about Kosova Prees that the list of names of health professionals has been sent to the country's Health Ministry during yesterday.

We've prepared this list and we've been following it to the Ministry of Health yesterday. The night before, on the night before, we received confirmation from MS that can go to 50 to 100 professionals to vaccinate in Kukes, and we immediately on the next morning, based on the recommendation of the Committee for Management Pandemia at the SSKUK level, have submitted requests to clinics and hospitals to send us this list”, he says.

He has shown for Kosovo Press also the criteria that have to be met to be part of this list.

The “Criteries we've placed on have been that the doctors, nurses and all the other technical staff working in the Codweed clinics, and the departments that treat COVID patients in general hospitals... All names, people who were sent by all directors, we've forwarded them to Health Minister”, he says.

While, the Ministry of Health spokeswoman in Albania, Etiola Kola, has announced about Kosova Preress that they are ready for vaccinating Kosovo health professionals at any time, but that they have not yet received an official list.

Presequently, we are expected to receive lists as discussed and ready for vaccination at any time”, she said in a written response to KosovoPress.

Days ago, the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions has expressed its concern over the health ministry's failure to respond to Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama's offer of vaccination of health workers.

FSSHK, in a media communiqué, had indicated that if the Ministry of Health could not arrange to take vaccines, this would take over the federation itself.

“FSSHK Mayor Blerim Syla has been communicating with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Albania, Nat Hasan, who has been directly committed to vaccinating health workers in Kukes, but unfortunately, the Kosovo Health Ministry is so far neglecting the offer, so we appeal to the Ministry of Health that if there is no possibility and willingness to organise vaccines in Kukes for health workers then the Federation of Kosovo Health Union is willing to take full organisation for the implementation of the vaccine offered, at the contrary any responsibility of the Republic of Kosovo (4) the municipality was said.

Meanwhile, on March 15th, Kosovo physician Blerim Feka had crossed the border to vaccinate against the Coroneritus.

According to information received by Kosova Prees, the latter had managed to vaccinate although the Health Ministry there had still not accepted the list with the names of health professionals from Kosovo.

After that, two other doctors had gone to vaccinate, but this had been impossible in the absence of this list.

Kosova Prees has tried to get a response from the Ministry of Health in Kosovo to the causes of late submission of the list with the names of health professionals at the counterpart ministry in Albania, but the same has not returned
