Mrs. Obrama died early on March 29th [Monday] at the Jaramogi Oinga Odinga Hospital in the western town of Kisumus, her daughter Marsati said of the Daily Nation newspaper, the BBC, translates Periscope.

Her family is preparing for burial Monday at the city cemetery.

Former American President Barack Obama lovingly called it the late “Judge Sarace”.

Mrs. Obama had defended his nephew during the American elections following claims by opponents that he was Muslim and that he was not born in the US.

She was the third and youngest wife of the president's grandfather. /Periscope
