The Robert Koch Institute today reported on 4,732 new coronary cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 2,447,068.
Authorities also reported another 60 deaths, bringing their total number to 70.105. However, the figures are increasingly low at the weekend, as a smaller number are tested.
The institute said the level of Germany's seven-day genocide has increased to 65.8, representing the number of cases for 100,000 residents.
Germany, Europe's largest economy, reiterated concerns that the new variants of the coronary can reverse the progress noted so far. Chancellor Angela Merkel has declared that all data suggest a third wave of pandemic, and many regions are preparing for another closure.
