On December 11th 2020, the Kosovo Specialised Chambers Pre-Procedure Judge confirmed the indictment filed on October 30th 2020 by the Specialised Prosecutor against Gucat and Haradinaj.
The latter are charged with <x0 criminal acts against justice administration, obstructing official persons in performing official tasks, fearing witnesses, and violating the secret of the procedure”.
At the session, which took place on December 19th in The Hague, Hysni Gucati was acquitted in front of the Specialised Chambers. Gucati said he and his associates have fought for freedom and protection of the homeland. Innocent has also been declared Haradinaj.
On 25 September 2020, Gucati and Haradinaj were arrested as suspects by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, with the support of EULEX and Kosovo police and transferred to the detention facility of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
With confirmation of the indictment, Gucati and Haradinaj have the status of indictees before Kosovo's Specialised Chambers.
The deputy chairman of the KLA's War Veterans Organisation (OVL), Nasim Haradinaj, has sent to the Court of Appeals the continuation of his detention by Specialised Chambers.
On December 24, 2020, the pre-procedure judge decided to continue detention of Haradinaj and denied his request for a hearing on the matter.
On January 5th, Haradinaj has appealed this ruling to the Court of Appeals, but the Court of Appeals panel near Specialised Chambers has rejected Nasim Haradinaj's appeal against the decision to keep him in custody.
