Lekaj said that in these elections, they intend to have 20 deputies in the Assembly, as it says citizens' support of the AAK has increased.
And as far as these elections are concerned, I think they're going normally without any major burden, but since I'm on the ground and communicating with many citizens I see a very good mood for the Alliance. I don't say why I compete on the Alliance's list but I see it in the support of citizens. There are no days when we do not directly communicate with hundreds of citizens, and there I see that support they are making to the alliance and I see many young people lined up with the Alliance. Every political subject entered the race to win elections. We as the Alliance target 20 MPs and it is real based on what I have seen on the ground not only from Gjakova, but generally in Kosovo”, Lekaj told EO.
Lekaj says their government programme will help with the country's economic recovery.
On the other hand, he says there has been neglect as to the action of taking preventive measures for the spread of the coronary.
While not running Albin Kurti and others, Lekaj has said he would not have prevented Kurti from leading the list as Vetevendosje deputy candidate, but stresses that the Constitutional Court decision should be respected.
“In democracy I don't know why this happened, but we have to respect the Constitutional Court that is a shield of the state of Kosovo, but nothing had prevented me from leading the Vetevendosje list”, he added.
Lekaj said the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo aims to have the position of president who is a shield of the state of Kosovo.
