(a day ago)Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the G7 summit in Evian, France and had the opportunity to have a brief conversation with his American counterpart, Donald Trump.

Earlier, the summit organiser, French President Emmanuel Macron, had welcomed the leaders.
It is the first time in many months that both leaders have met personally. After their explosive meeting at the White House in February 2025, their later meetings have been more cautious, whether at the White House or at the Vatican during Pope Francis's funeral.
In a post in social media, Zelensky expressed his satisfaction with the constructive discussion between the leaders of G7 and Ukraine, thanking his counterparts for their time this morning and “for strong proposals on how to force Russia to make peace”.
“Priorites are clear, more air defence missiles along with license for their production, a winter support package and increased pressure on Russia. It is important that the United States be willing to offer support in all these areas of action. It is vital that all that has been discussed apply. Russia must realize that its war will never be accepted. Thank you all for helping”He wrote. / TCH
