In the first part of the study, scientists used MRI and polysomnography (sleep study) to measure brain waves in 18 adults as they watched several emotional - load videos. After reviewing the videos, the study participants were asked to complete a questionnaire praising their stress levels.

The results were repeated in another study involving 30 people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. At the same time, an online study was conducted to measure the quality of sleep and anxiety levels of 280 young and middle-aged people for a four-day period. This proved that poor sleep increased emotional stress to 30 percent.
Otherwise, many teenagers between 12 and 18 should sleep at night between eight and nine hours, while adults between 18 and 65 are advised to sleep seven to nine hours.
A recent study also revealed that sleep for less than six hours can double the risk of early death among chronically ill people.
