President of the United States of America, Joe Biden will meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen at the White House in Washington today, and one of the topics of discussion is expected to be the situation in the Western Balkans, Reuters broadcast.
A White House statement said the two officials would also discuss trade and other issues in an effort to improve US relations with the EU.
Beden and Von der Leyen discussed recently, during a meeting of G20 leaders in Rome and during the UN Conference on Climate Change in Glasgou.
The White House stresses that Biden and Von der Layeen will discuss economic rules through joint trade between the US and the EU, global warming, Ukraine and the Western Balkans.
“President Biden will reaffirm EU support as a key US partner”, White House spokeswoman Emily Horne said in a statement.
