Albania with doubler budget for military than Kosovo

Yesterday the country's government has proposed to allocate 100m euros from the state's wallet for the Kosovo Security Force or 1.3 per cent gross domestic product for next year.

Although this is an increased military budget, neighbouring states still have a bigger budget than Kosovo for the military. Albania has twice as much budget shared for the military as Kosovo.

The Albanian State Defence Ministry had allocated over 22m euros more to the 2021 budget than last year.

Currently, the defence budget will be over 225m euros per year.
