In the CEC's decision, the Central Election Commission will contact by telephone all exiles who have applied for voter registration, writes Periscope.
Any exile who is not called on the phone will not have the right to vote in the February 14th elections.
Periscop's sources within the CEC say 11 members of this institution have voted in favour of this decision.
This decision has been supported by all members of the Central Election Council, including Sami Kurtesh and Alim Rama from the Vetevendosje” Movement, says that source.
Alym Rama from the VV has assessed this decision positively.
It also has to do with the request repeated in the European Union's recommendations that increased the integrity of the mail application process”, it concluded.
On the other hand, VV deputy Albulen Haxhiu has rejected the CEC's decision.
Haxhiu has said this institution is adding unconstitutional and illegal criteria to fellow countrymen, affecting their vote rights, only because someone has not opened the phone.
The Central Election Commission, instead of encouraging the registration license to vote in the February 14th elections, facilitating procedures, they do the opposite! They add unconstitutional and illegal criteria! The right to vote is inconsistent it cannot be managed only because someone “did not open the phone”! This decision is as absurd as illegal and unconstitutional, so it must be changed and rejected! ”- wrote on Facebook. / P ERISCOPI/
