The Democratic League of Kosovo and the New Kosovo Alliance are expected to soon formalise the pre-election coalition, whether formal or only race through a common electoral list. Total interview:
Periscope: Talks between the AKRU and the LDK) are being discussed for the pre-election coalition. What is the truth?
Fatmir Matoshi: The leaders of both parties have been negotiating coalitions for parliamentary agreements for days. What they can tell me is that basically we've agreed that with the LDK, together in this election. For forms, the way we're even going to be a coalition or just part of the LDK's list, there's been some discussions. But I believe by Monday it's defined and known correctly.
Periscope: According to you, is the coalition more likely to happen, or is it just racing with a common list?
Fatmir Matoshi: This is basically a coalition no matter what. One thing is clear that we are not melting in LDK. But now we're going to have to evaluate how it's going to be more functional and better. So should a coalition LDK- AKR or if we make a deal to compete with their list. These are the topics that are still being discussed, and I don't know how they have to decide before.
Periscope: Today after the chairmanship meeting, LDK deputy chairman Lutfi Haziri said it would not be a formal coalition as we have been taught to see, but that the possibilities are that the names of the AKRNA will be placed on a joint list. How do you comment?
Fatmir Matoshi: She's just one of the possibilities. But what we have discutu and developed in the party is that there is a readiness of our structures with the race along with the LDK in these elections. We also have offers from other coalition parties, but the mood is to compete with LDK. However, the AKRA people will be in the race with the Democratic League. However, there are discussions.
Periscope: Has the number and names of the AKRA people been determined that could be on the joint election list with the LDK?
Fatmir Matoshi: Names are not yet. While the number will be brought in somewhere 10 candidates I believe. That's not crucial either. But the names are all still known, only part.
Periscope: In addition to the LDK, does the AKR have intentions to negotiate pre-election or post-election coalitions with other parties?
Fatmir MatoshiNo, we had an offer from PDK, we had other offers. But the mood within AKRU is that with the LDK. The mayors are talking to you today, so I believe tomorrow will eventually be decided on Monday.
