Several agreements were signed at a joint conference with the two countries in the field of culture, education and others.
Turkish President Erdogan said Albania and Turkey are two friendly countries, and Albanians are our brothers as he put it.
” I am very pleased to wait for Rama and his delegation, I wish to welcome them to Turkey, Albania is a friend and brother, we fought together and left a trail in history, we are two people brothers. Our tracks can be seen in many fields, and cities like Elbasan, Korca and Vlora.
We consider it our duty to strengthen our relationship even more, with Rama we have spoken to strengthen co-operation, established relations at the level of the strategic partner.
In our meetings with Rama, besides the bilateral issues, we discussed other regional, cultural and many other issues.
Albania has just finished O presidency SBE successfully. Albania experienced two major earthquakes, and after each earthquake we ran to their aid, with rescue teams and other means. We decided to build 540 residential units. We hope to complete construction in August 2021, I believe it will be a symbol of new fate between the two countries.
We talked about economic relations, we are the biggest foreign investor in Albania, more than 600 Turkish companies provide employment for 15 thousand Albanian brothers and we plan to further increase our investments.
We attach importance to preserving objects from the Ottoman period, our culture ministers just signed the agreement to restore a historic object in Shkodra.
Another point was the war on terrorism, we will not allow feto to poison our relationship. With these thoughts I wish the elections would be useful for Albania and the Albanian people”, Erdogan said.
