Loss of appetite, possible symptoms of coronavirus in children

If your child brings home a packaged lunch without eating, it may be a sign of coronavirus, scientists have warned.
More than a third of the children still attending school, affected by COVID-19, suffer from the loss of appetite that moves them to give up meals.
Parents and teachers are now being warned to look for less - known symptoms of the disease as schools return and the risk of infection increases.
A team from King's College in London has monitored hundreds of infected children using a mobile tracking application for COVID-19 symptoms.
Instead, they found that most young people with viruses tended to skip meals, suffer headaches, and feel exhausted.

The five main symptoms of people under 18 years of age with the virus were fatigue (55 percent), headaches (53 percent), fever (49 percent), throat pain (38 percent) and appetite loss (35 percent).
The application also found that one in six (15 percent) children who tested positive suffered a scratching tan Dailimail.

This was different from adult app data: fatigue (87 percent), headaches (72 percent), lack of smell (60 percent), constant cough (54 percent) and throat pain (49 percent).
The findings are based on data from 198 children with positive tests and 15,800 negative tests.

A third of children with COVIED-19 showed no signs of infection, strengthening previous findings that many are asimtomatic.
More and more symptoms of COVID-19 are being reported, while doctors and scientists learn more about the virus, which was discovered just a few months ago.
