US meetings, major progress towards Kosovo agreement Serbia, talks continue today

The Kosovo delegation, led by Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's delegation to the helm with President Alexander Vuciq yesterday, have been present at two long meetings at the White House mediated by President Donald Trump's National Security adviser, Robert O'Brien and his special emissary Trump for the Kosovo dialogue Serbia, Richard Green.

The two meetings, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, were assessed as very successful, where real progress was said to have been achieved.

He has written after the end of the second meeting that the parties have achieved real progress and that talks between the two countries will continue tomorrow as well.

Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has been declared regarding these meetings and talks.

Hoti after the meeting, has declared there was progress today and tomorrow is expected to end all the discussions I had earlier and later, and expects to have agreements for economic co-operation with Serbia.

Hoti stressed that harmful and unacceptable agreements will not come from the US.

The “Tomorrow everything can become clear, tomorrow the deal can be seen, we are a step closer to closing the agreement and we have taken a big step towards closing the final agreement”, he said.

Representatives of Albanian media who are there say the two delegations were offered a draft of the final agreement and then withdrawn from the mediators in order not to appear in the media.

Otherwise, in addition to the continuation of the meeting, two more meetings were scheduled tomorrow in the US, the one at the White House and Secretary Pompeii, where there will be a press conference.

And in Serbian media, but also from the mouth of many Serbian officials, news was spread that at the White House, a document was presented to the Serbian side, which envisions recognition of Kosovo's independence on Serbia's part.

Such statements and reports were briefly denied by special emissary Richard Greenell.

But, even Serbia's president, Vuciq, has declared that the US have removed from the agreement the point where Serbia is forced to recognise Kosovo's independence, while the same has said talks continue tomorrow but that it does not know if there will be agreements.

Also reported in the media is that US President Donald Trump will also be present at the meeting tomorrow because the parties have agreed to a deal tomorrow.
