Investigators believe the letters were sent from Canada and have identified a woman as a suspect, the official said.
The letter to the White House, which was for President Trump, was captured, just like the letters for federal offices in Texas. It was not immediately clear which of the federal offices were targeted.
These letters are made from mail before being sent to the White House.
