“Italia will officially present the proposal at Friday's meeting of EU Health Ministers”, he said in front of the Senate.
He also stressed that the status quo, where only a few EU countries undertake mandatory evidence for travellers coming from several other EU countries, is causing diplomatic friction.
In recent weeks Italy has experienced an increase in the daily cases of COVID-19, but in a move lower than some other states in the EU.
