Marko Djuric is director of the so-called Serbian Office for Kosovo even for some time until an agreement is reached for Serbia's ambassador to the United States.
His favourite for his “successor” in this position is Petar Petkoviq, currently Djuric's deputy in this office, said unofficial sources from the Serbian political scene for Danas broadcast Klan Kosova.
They also said Vuciq decided that Djuric would be the country's top diplomatic representative in Washington “because he has a lot of faith in him”.
Petar Petkov was spokesman for the Democratic Party of Serbia at the time Vojislav Kostunica led that party.
He left the DSS in October 2014, just a day after Kostunica did.
Meanwhile, he became a member of the Serbian Progressive Party, and he has carried out the post of assistant director of the so-called Serbian Office for Kosovo since April 2016.
