An Italian study published in the renowned medical magazine “Lancet” writes that Coddy-19 is more deadly if it causes double lung damage.
This will help doctors and nurses quickly to identify the most endangered patients so that they can focus on them.
The study has included 301 people affected by coronarys in 6 different hospitals in Italy. “Cavid-19 can harm both lung components: alveoli, oxygen-absorbed units and provide carbon dioxide and capillaries, blood vessels where the exchange between carbon dioxide and oxygen occurs.
60% of patients have lost their lives when the virus has damaged these two important lung components.
And when only one component is damaged, mortality rate drops to 20%
The condition of the patient's lungs is easily revealed with the measurement of a parameter of the operation of this vital human organ.
Meanwhile, doctors who have conducted the study stressed that the result would enable quick identification of patients in which experimental treatments with anti-coaglans should be tested to avoid damaging pulmonary capillaries.
