The chief state prosecutor's office has denied reports that Alexander Lumezi has six jobs and that he receives an annual salary of 50 thousand euros.
The office's clarification says Lumez has only one job, that of the chief state prosecutor.
This position, according to the law, is binding on the chief prosecutor to engage in the institutional boards of the field of justice and security.
“As of the 1503.2018 to 15,2020 State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi has also been chairman of the Commission for Providing the Jurisprudence Commission proposed by the Ministry of Justice and elected by Kosovo Assembly deputies”, it is said in response.
All these commitments of Chief Prosecutor Lumezi are in full harmony with the laws in power of the Republic of Kosovo and do not constitute conflicts of interest. This is evidenced even with the legal opinion of the Anti-Corruption Agency (AKK), released on the 09.07.2018”, continued in the communique.
