spokesman The PDK, Avni Bytyci, has accused the ruling coalition and Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti of failing to reach the consensus to adopt the draft economic recovery bill.
Avni Bytyci's full statement:
The Democratic Party of Kosovo expresses deep indignation at the approach of Prime Minister Hoti and the ruling coalition to address the problem of the economic crisis in the country directly.
Today during the session, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo failed to secure its votes to adopt the law on economic recovery.
However, as we've put it dozens of times, The PDK has been more than willing to support this vital law for the country's economy.
The PDK has had only one minimum requirement, that we harmonise and complement it where we believe it has not been done enough and it has always been possible to benefit our citizens.
Even in the Opposition The PDK has consistently supported international laws and agreements, even when most MPs themselves had not come to the session. In fact, we at the beginning of the pandemic were the only ones who had proposed a detailed program through a special law, which is still in the very easy procedure can be integrated into government proposal.
For the sake of correctness towards public opinion, we want to stress again that we today requested co-ordination and co-operation with the government, which is surprisingly not even providing its own votes for proposals it is bringing to the Assembly itself.
