The trucks are on fire and the ambulance police are at the scene. According to the latest information, at least two people have died.
Croatian authorities said the case occurred around 16.00 and that the causes are not known at the moment.
Due to the safety of other traffic participants, traffic from Rugvica's eastern-run exit and the Ivaniq Grad exit in the western direction is closed, traffic is bypassed on local roads.
Police have indicated that the fire has been located and that a full investigation will be conducted once the terms are met.
Croatian media report that a truck with the marks of Turkish company Karakus was involved in the accident.
Traffic has been blocked in both directions and long columns of up to two miles [2 km] have been created.
