Bahtiri: Bridge on Iber cannot be the subject of Kosovo dialogue

The negotiations for Mitrovica have ended in 2015. Bahtiri also talked about the meeting he had yesterday with the chief of the EU's Kosovo office, which had declared that even the Bridge on Iber could be the subject of Kosovo dialogue.

Mayor Bahtiri said he introduced the situation to EU representative in Mitrovica before and after his arrival, mayor of the city.

The “told us about the changes that have been made and the assistance which has been given to Mitrovica by the international factor, the foreign embassies to our town”, he said.

Bahtiri says he rejected the stance that the bridge over Iber be the subject of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. There is no negotiations for the bridge and the partition of Mitrovica.

Bahtiri spoke to the Special Court and developments currently taking place at The Hague.

I and my family take off the hat from anyone who took the rifle for freedom. But now we are powerless to help them. We were killed in our homes, we didn't send anyone to kill them instead of being punished by those who killed us, they're punishing the innocent”, Bahtiri said.
