According to the AKS, monthly inflation measured by the harmonised consumer price index was 0.1% in August 2020.
The overall harmonised consumption prices “is higher by 0.1% in August 2020, compared to July 2020. This is mainly explained with the rise of consumer prices in COICOP subgroups: water, non-alcoholic drink, juices from trees and vegetables (0.5%); goods and services for the regular maintenance of the domestic economy (1.6%); use of personal transport equipment (2.5%) - raising oil and gasoline prices, with a common impact of these subgroups of 0.2 percent in IHCK. As prices drop in COICOP subgroups: trees (-2.5%); vegetables (-1.8%), with a common impact of these subgroups from (-0.1) on IHCHK. The annual inflation rate measured in August 2020 by August 2019 was (-0.5%). The overall harmonised consumer price index suffered a decline in an average of (-0.5%) in August 2020, compared to August 2019. This is mainly explained with the drop in consumer prices in this period in COICOP subgroups: milk, cheese and eggs (-3.2%); vegetables (-3.7%); alcoholic beverages (-1.2%); electricity, gas and other fuels (-1.1%) - tree-priced fuel prices for heating), glass vessels, tammes and household vessels (-3.1%); use of personal transport equipment (14.0%) oil and gas prices), audio-visual equipment for photo processing (4% of organised vacation), with an impact of these sub-christs (CH).
The ASK says that price hikes are seen in COICOP subgroups such as bread and cereals as 2.6%; meat 1,0%; sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and candy 4.1%; coffee, tea, and cacao 2.1%; water, non-alcoolitic drink, juices from trees and vegetables 1.7%; tobacco 2.2%; medical products and equipment 4..8%; ambulance purchases 5.5%; hotel service 2.4%; 19.7% of vehicle insurance establishments; an impact of these at 1.1%.
