Minister Abrashi at a media conference has said Kosovo is ready for the meeting of the Transport Ministers, to be held in Brussels, aimed at financing projects for the region.
We have discussed issues of importance for the country and the role of this community for the Western Balkans. This community now has four priorities that connect with the free movement of citizens. The first is to improve railway infrastructure and everything related to railway transport, the second is to improve and assist the Western Balkans in road infrastructure. The third concerns road safety and traffic security, and the fourth concerns all road transport facilities, railways among Balkan countries. We today have discussed many issues affecting both Kosovo and the Western Balkan countries and intend to make an action plan in the early months of next month, which will precede the meeting of the Transport Ministers in Brussels, where we will discuss all of these”, Abrashi stressed.
While Matey Zakonjsek, director of the permanent secretary of the transportation community, stressed that they have a clear plan to help the Balkans modernise transport with the aim of economic development.
